Do’s and Dont’s of the Dog-Friendly Forest

Please read the rules before booking.

  1. Havukka Hideaway’s forest estate is privately owned and visits are only permitted by prior reservation.
  2. Arrive and leave the forest on time. Everyone is allocated 10 minutes of arrival and departure time. You can arrive at the gate no more than 10 minutes before the start of the reservation and must leave the forest within 10 minutes of the end of the reservation.
  3. Everyone is responsible for their own safety and that of their pets. Havukka Hideaway is not responsible for any accidents or damage that may occur in the area.
  4. Please respect the forest and nature. Deliberate damage to the forest, fences and buildings is prohibited.
  5. The customer is responsible for the cleanliness of the dog forest, sauna and log cabin. Littering is prohibited and dog waste must be collected in the designated bins.
  6. Making open fire is strictly prohibited during a wildfire warning and smoking is only permitted in designated areas.
  7. Digging next to a fence or on a forest road is not allowed; cover any holes carefully.
  8. A sick dog or a female dog that is in season must not be brought into the dog forest. Dogs must be vaccinated according to the instructions of the Finnish Kennel Club; Regulations about vaccinations and infectious diseases | The Finnish Kennel Club (kennelliitto.fi)
  9. Dogs must not be left alone in the forest, and Havukka Hideaway is not responsible if the dog escapes from inside the fences.
  10. The equipment and movables of the forest farm are the property of Havukka Hideaway, please do not take anything with you.
